Empowering Sustainable Workplaces: The Green Office Project Story
The passionate team at the Green Office Project is on a mission to help transform all workplaces into hubs of sustainability and innovation. Our journey began back in 2019 with the launch of Banyan Workspace, a sustainable coworking space in Quarry Bay, Hong Kong. Through operating Banyan, we witnessed firsthand the extraordinary impact that sustainable workplace practices and educational initiatives have in driving behavioural change.
Everyone who worked in our eco-friendly environment and participated in our sustainability workshops and activities naturally adopted more environmentally conscious habits in their daily lives. We’ve seen our coworking members adopting reusable lunch boxes and travel mugs, sorting their waste at the recycling station, asking for sustainability-focus suppliers, and more.

Inspired by this transformative potential, we officially launched the Green Office Project in 2022. We work in partnership with Hong Kong companies, leveraging the influence of workplace culture to accelerate their sustainable business transitions. Through our holistic approach, we help organisations integrate sustainability into their core values, processes and employee engagement strategies. By empowering teams to champion sustainability from within, we create lasting impact that goes well beyond surface-level initiatives.
